Cookies and storage.

No cookies, no tracking
The OralsBridge website sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising, no social media buttons and no tracking pixels, and it loads no fonts, scripts or videos from other companies' servers. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Our host, Cloudflare, can set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm) if it ever needs to check that traffic to the site is not an automated attack. It is used for nothing else.
What the simulator stores in your browser
The simulator keeps a few things in your browser's local storage, on your own device, so it works the way you left it. None of it is sent to us or anyone else, and none of it identifies you. The law treats this kind of storage like a cookie, but as it is strictly necessary to give you the service you asked for, it does not need your consent.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Lesson results | Which lessons and practice runs you have done, and how they went, so the course can show your progress. |
| Drill scores | Your score on each scored drill, so you can see whether you are improving. |
| Oral practice results | Which oral questions you have answered and how you marked them. |
| Open course phases | Which phases of the course list you left open. |
| Narration and alarm sound | Whether you muted the tutor's voice or the ECDIS alarm speaker. |
| Console choice | Which ECDIS console layout you picked. |
| Chart data agreement | That you accepted the terms of use for the official chart data some scenarios use, so you are not asked again. |
Every item's name starts with ecdis-sim., the simulator's working name.
Clearing it
You can delete all of it at any time by clearing the site data for the simulator in your browser's settings (usually under Privacy, then Cookies and site data). Your progress and settings will reset. Private or incognito windows clear it when you close them.
If this changes
If we ever add a cookie or storage that is not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will list it here first and ask for your consent where the law requires it. When passes go on sale, signing in will need a cookie to keep you signed in; it will be listed here before then.
More about how we handle personal information is in the privacy notice.
