Privacy notice.
Passes are not on sale yet. Where part of this page only applies once they are, it says so.

Who we are
OralsBridge is a trading name of The Visionary Platform Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number17198186), registered office [registered office address]. We decide how and why your personal information is used, which makes us the "controller" under UK data protection law.
For anything to do with your information, email [contact email] or write to us at the address above. We have not appointed a data protection officer; the law does not require one for a business of our size and kind.
The short version
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and loads nothing from other companies' servers.
- The simulator keeps your settings and progress in your own browser. They do not come to us.
- If you ask for AI feedback on a typed answer, the question and your answer are sent to Anthropic to write the feedback. Your name and email are not sent with it.
- If you email us, we keep the email so we can answer it.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
What we collect, why, and on what basis
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your IP address and the page requested, in our host's server logs | To deliver the website and the simulator, and keep them secure against attacks and misuse | Legitimate interests: running a website safely |
| Settings and progress in your browser's storage (see the cookies and storage notice) | To remember your choices and which lessons you have done | This stays on your device and is not sent to us. Storing it is strictly necessary for the service you asked for. |
| The question and the answer you type, when you ask for AI feedback | To write feedback on your answer | Legitimate interests: providing the feature you chose to use. It is optional; you can mark your own answers instead. |
| Your name, email address and what you write, when you contact us | To reply, and to fix any mistake you report in a lesson | Legitimate interests: answering the people who write to us. If you are a customer, also to perform our contract with you. |
We do not collect special category information (such as health), and we ask you not to type any into an answer. We make no decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects. AI feedback is practice only and never says pass or fail.
When passes go on sale
Buying and using a pass will also involve:
- An account: your email address and a sign-in, so the pass is yours. Basis: our contract with you.
- Your pass: which pass, when it started and when it ends. Basis: our contract with you.
- Payment: taken by our payment provider, which acts as the seller of record. It collects your payment details, billing address and tax information under its own privacy notice, and tells us only what we need: your email, the pass bought and the amount. We never see your card number.
- Records of sales: kept because tax and company law require it. Basis: legal obligation.
We will update this notice, and name the payment provider, before anything can be bought.
AI feedback on your answers
The simulator's oral practice lets you type an answer and ask for feedback. When you do, the question, its key points and the text you typed are sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI model that writes the feedback. Nothing else goes with it: not your name, email address or progress.
- Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use what we send to train its models.
- Anthropic deletes what we send within 30 days, unless it is flagged for breaking its usage policy, when it may keep it for longer to investigate.
- Anthropic may process it in the United States or other countries (see data sent outside the UK).
Please type only your answer. Do not include your name, your ship, other people's details or anything private. If you would rather nothing left your device, choose self-marking instead.
Who we share it with
Only these companies, and only for the purposes above. Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement, except where we say otherwise.
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and keeps its security and request logs.
- Anthropic (Anthropic Ireland, Limited for UK and European customers) writes AI feedback when you ask for it.
- Our email provider holds the emails you send us.
- Our payment provider, once passes go on sale. As seller of record it is responsible for the payment information it collects under its own privacy notice.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold, who would have to treat it as this notice says.
Data sent outside the UK
Cloudflare and Anthropic may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the UK has not found a country's data protection laws adequate, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in those companies' data processing agreements. Ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Host security and request logs | As Cloudflare keeps them for security, normally a short period |
| AI feedback requests | Not stored by us. Deleted by Anthropic within 30 days, as above. |
| Settings and progress in your browser | Until you clear them (see the cookies and storage notice) |
| Emails you send us | Two years after our last exchange, then deleted |
| Account and pass details, once passes are on sale | While your account is open, then up to one year after your last pass ends |
| Records of sales, once passes are on sale | Six years, as UK tax and company law require |
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict how we use it;
- give it to you, or another organisation, in a format a computer can read;
- stop using it, where we rely on legitimate interests. You can object at any time.
Email [contact email]. We reply within one month, and do not charge. We may need to check who you are first. Some rights have limits, for example we must keep sales records for as long as the law says. Settings and progress in your browser never reach us, so you can delete those yourself.
If you are in the European Union, South Africa or elsewhere, your own country's law may give you similar rights. Ask us in the same way and we will help.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first at [contact email], with "Data protection complaint" in the subject. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome without undue delay.
You can also complain to a regulator at any time:
- in the UK, the Information Commission (formerly the Information Commissioner's Office): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or 0303 123 1113;
- in South Africa, the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za;
- in the European Union, the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
Children
OralsBridge is for deck officer candidates and cadets. It is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Buying a pass will need you to be 18, or 16 or 17 with a parent or guardian's agreement (see the terms).
Security
The website and the simulator are served only over encrypted connections. We hold as little as we can, give access to it only to those who need it, and use providers with recognised security standards. No system is completely secure; if a breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when what we collect changes, starting before passes go on sale. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect where we can.
